Pieces of Zeppelin L31 owned by Simon Parry.

Pieces of Zeppelin L31 which was shot down by Lt Wulstan Tempest RFC, and crashed at Oakmere Park, Potters Bar (now Tempest Avenue) on 2nd October 1916. Commander was Heinrich Mathy. These lower pieces(owned by me) were purchased at the crash site of SL11 which came down at Cuffley not far away, but due to the numbers of visitors, pieces of L31 were shipped down to sell for charity. (Note: that SL11 was wire and plywood construction, not aluminium, so these pieces could not be from SL11) Originally they came with a paper certificate, now lost, and were given to me by Mr Wesley, of Wesley Gunshops, East Molesey, who Bought them from the crash site, as a child at Cuffley.
Another piece of Zeppelin L31, which was sold at the Cuffley site.
